About Our Club

Our Club

The Nhulunbuy Regional Sports Fishing Club was established to promote and support Sports Fishing, the recreational pastime of chasing big game on light line tackle, in and around the East Arnhem Region. The purpose of tournaments, activities, and events organised by the NRSFC is to encourage involvement with recreational fishing throughout the Nhulunbuy and surrounding areas in organised formats.

Our Committee

Our Committee is made up of a group of fantastic volunteers who ensure we can keep getting out on the water and competing in our great events and competitions. We are always looking for more volunteers to get involved and help make this club a great success.

Our Region

Nhulunbuy is located on the Gove Peninsula, approximately a nine hour drive from Katherine via the Central Arnhem Road, and is the largest town in East Arnhem Land. Established in the 1960s to service a bauxite mine on the Peninsula, Nhulunbuy has since grown to become the fourth largest town in the Northern Territory with a population of approximately 3300.

Nhulunbuy operates as a service and business hub for East Arnhem Land and is a vibrant community with a high standard of services."
